Changing your notification service settings

In blojsom, you can control when notification services which conform to the Weblogs.com XML-RPC interface, are notified of new or updated blog entries.

In a user's blog.properties file, there is a property called blog-ping-urls, which controls the services that get notified when you add or update a blog entry. You can edit this setting directly from the command-line or from the administration console. Separate multiple URLs with a space.

If you are adding or editing a blog entry, there is a box for you to add notification service URLs. This box will be pre-populated with the blog-ping-urls property if you have set this in your blog properties.

The blog-ping-urls blog property also controls what notification services are pinged if you are using the Weblogs Ping Plugin.

Notifying multiple notification services with one ping

You can use the Ping-o-Matic service, which will send a ping on your behalf to over 10 notification services. Just set the URL in your notification service settings to the following.
