  WYSIWYG Editing Templates

If you would like to use a more familiar WYSIWYG editing interface for adding or editing blog entries, you can download a set of templates for blojsom that make use of the TinyMCE JavaScript Content Editor.

TinyMCE is a platform independent web based Javascript HTML WYSIWYG editor control released as Open Source under LGPL by Moxiecode Systems AB. It has the ability to convert HTML TEXTAREA fields or other HTML elements to editor instances. TinyMCE is very easy to integrate into other CMS systems.

Installation

TinyMCE and blojsom 2.27+

If you want to use TinyMCE with blojsom 2.27 (and subsequent versions), you will need to download the tinymce-blojsom-2.27+-templates.zip file.


  1. Download TinyMCE. Unzip and copy the jscripts folder into your blojsom installation directory.
  2. blojsom 2.26 and earlier
    1. Download the following set of TinyMCE templates.
  3. blojsom 2.27 or later
    1. Download the following set of TinyMCE templates.
  4. Extract the .ZIP file in your blog's templates directory. For example: /WEB-INF/default/templates
  5. If you wanted to install these templates for all blogs on your site, extract the .ZIP file in the /WEB-INF/templates directory.

Known Issues

  • Safari support in TinyMCE is still being addressed.
